The Fender Squier Affinity Stratocaster is one of the many entry-level guitars manufactured by Squier, their sales strategy seems to be to produce a good quality beginner’s guitar and thereby get the user comfortable with playing Stratocaster guitars.
The bolt-on neck is Maple with a Rosewood fret-board. The Affinity also adorns the large 1960’s style Fender headstock that is rarely used these days, whilst the frets themselves are of medium gauge. The usual 3 single coil pick-ups have been deployed along with a 5 way selector switch with a volume and two tone pots
The bridge has a standard traditional style tremolo system, and each string has its own bridge saddle with two Allen screws per saddle for height adjustment, at the opposite end of the guitar the machine heads are sealed chrome plated units.
